Newsletter May 2009

  • From the Club Manager

The Royal Oak A2 and below squash tournament was extremely successful with over 80 entries in all grades. Congratulations to all the winners in each division. The tournament would not be such a success if it was not for the organisation skills of Annamarie Wood and Mason Reed.
Congratulations to the men’s interclub team in division 12, 15 and 17 for winning the pennant. This is an excellent effort by all involved.

The Wine Tasting and Auction night was held on 30th April and I would like to thank Kelly Townsend and John Endean for organising the night. Corporate Wines Direct provided the wine for the night and I felt it was enjoyed by all who were there.
The Auction was very successful for the club raising over $3400.00. This would not have been possible without the kind donations the club received.
The club would like to thank the following:

Rod Vickery & Helen Bucksey, Peter De Heer, Tanya Findlay -Pacific Brands, Jeff Maffi, Annamarie Wood, Laura Dennis – Extreme Trampolining, Dave Rowe, Bill Bradley, Lily Boucher – Pak N Save, Rob Lahood – Weekend Gardner, Peter Lahood – Lahood Curtains, Kashif Shuja, Gossip Hair, Kelly Townsend, John & Linda Endean.
