  • From the Club Manager

    The fishing fundraiser was a big success on Saturday 17th April. 6 boats and 27 fishermen went out during the the day and many snapper caught. I would like to thank everyone who took part in the day especially the boat owners. It was an excellent day enjoyed by all, and something that the club would like to do again in the near future.
    The fish auction back at the club raised $515 and I would like to thank everyone who came down and was involved in the auction. Overall the day raised $650 toward the new lounge furniture, with the current total standing at $7690.00
    The next Social Event at the club is the Quiz night on 6th May 7pm start. So get your teams of 6 together and contact Brett in the club office for tickets

  • Pool Tournamnet

    On Friday 14th May we are holding a pool tournament from 7pm. Partners will be drawn on the night and $10.00 to enter. This is a friendly (trial) night and if successful will be a regular event at the club. I would like to acknowledge Clarry Churches (Barfoot & Thompson), Tass Print and Jacobsen Headstones for donating prizes for the night.

  • Handle Club

    The handle club is due for renewal for $20 for the year. Please ensure that you have paid for the handle at the bar. Those that have not paid by 14th May, will have their handles will be removed.

  • Bar Volunteer Meeting

    Bar Volunteer Meeting
    There will be a bar volunteer meeting on Tuesday 11th May. Please confirm with Brett your attendance.

  • Membership renewals

    Membership Renewals
    Full, Squash, Social and Gym Memberships are due for renewal by the end of April. If you have not received your invoice please contact the club office. Can you please make sure that you inform the office of any changes to your circumstances or contact details. If you would like to pay monthly please see Brett to collect a Direct Debit form.

  • Bar Volunteers Wanted


    We currently have a few spaces on the club’s volunteer bar roster and are looking for members to help out once a month for a few hours. This is a great opportunity to help out at the club, meet other members and make a contribution to the running of the club. You are also rewarded with 2 drink tokens for your couple of hours work. If you are interested please contact Brett in the club office

  • AGM


    The AGM for the club is to be held on Sunday 23rd May at 4pm for all senior members. The club is looking for nominations for the following;
    Executive Members
    Tennis Committee Members
    Squash Committee Members
    This is a great opportunity to be involved and help develop squash and tennis and importantly continue to move the club forward for the benefit of all our members

    Super Champs
    Super champs is just around the corner 12th – 18th July, those of you who have played it know how much fun it is! 5 days of squash against other teams, 5 players out of a max team of 7 to play on the night.
    If you are interested in playing please let Brett or Dinesh know as team details will need to be in to Squash Auckland by 15th June

    Tournaments
    The next club tournament is the Masters and juniors combined from 27th May – 29th May. It would be great to see all the club Masters and juniors taking part.

    Interclub results
    Autumn interclub had mixed results for the club, the good news was 11 teams entered with 3 teams RO Men3, RO Mens6 and RO Men 7 winning their division. Winter interclub has already started for the Masters, and Seniors start 3rd & 4th May. Good luck to all the teams entered.

    Internet booking
    Internet booking will be available from 1st April for all squash members. This can be accessed via the club web site. You will need to have a login in number which will be your card number and a password. Please contact Brett or Dinesh in the club office to set up your password.

    Court Booking
    The courts are getting extremely busy at the moment and it is important that everyone has access to them. Please make sure that you are only booking for one 45min session at a time and not making multiple bookings after each other

    Summer Interclub team winners:

    Caro Bowl Reserve Ladies – Kirby Wotherspoon, Brittany Wotherspoon (Capt), Nicola Blake, Anna Johnston, Mia Middleton

    1st Ladies – Kelly Drew, Rosie Cheng, Georgina Hayr (Capt) and Kirsty Hayr

    Junior Caro Bowl Girls –Kelly Drew (capt), Rosie Cheng & Kirby Wotherspoon (res)

    A pretty solid effort, and if we had won the Caro Bowl Ladies, it would have been a clean sweep.

    Well done to all players who took part in the 2009/10 season and a special thanks to all the captains for their hard work.

    Winter Interclub entries are now being taken, please speak to Gary or Angela or enter on the notice board upstairs.

    Well Done & Good Luck to Leela Beattie and Emily Fanning who have been selected to represent NZ at the Junior Fed Cup in Kuching Malaysia from May 26th-May 3rd.

    Tennis Prizegiving for the season was held on Friday March 26th and there was an excellent turn out from both Junior and senior players. Junior NZ Fed Cup team member, Leela Beattie, was at the Club to hand out all the trophies and a fun eve was had by all evening was had by all who attended.
