CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CAMBRIDGE WOMEN'S AND HAWKE'S BAY MENS TEAMS, THE 2011 D GRADE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!
There were 11 entries in the men's competition and 8 in the women's. Played commenced at midday on Wednesday with the women's first round, followed by men's first round then the women's second round to finish off the first day's play.

Pool play has been completed in the women's draw, with both pools going to a countback to find which teams would progress through to the top half semifinals. North Shore went through Pool A unbeaten but in a 3-way tie for 2nd place between the other teams, Kawaroa Park prevailed on match differential. Pool B was even tighter with Cambridge, Te Puke and Hamilton Squash & Tennis needing a countback also. With Hamilton and Te Puke still tied after a countback on matches, it finally went down to a countback on games won/lost differential, with Hamilton eventually coming out on top. The semifinals for tomorrow see North Shore take on Hamilton S&T and Cambridge taking on Kawaroa Park.

The finalists for the Women's draw have just been decided, with Cambridge overwhelming Kawaroa Park 5/0 in one semi and Hamilton S&T narrowly beating North Shore 3/2 in the other, with the tie going down to the deciding 5th match. In the consolation semis, Royal Oak notched a win with a 4/1 result against Tawa, and Te Puke beat Squash City Invercargill 5/0
