Health & Safety at the Club

All members and guests are expected to comply with health and safety requirements at our club. If you have any queries or concerns please get in touch with the office or a member of the Executive Committee::

  1. We abide by the Code of Conduct set down by our district and national bodies. We expect our members and guests to show respect for each other and not engage in any behaviour that may be harassment, abuse or discrimination either on or off the court. Please contact the office or a member of the Executive Committee if you have any concerns or wish to make a complaint.
  2. The club indoor and outdoor areas are all designated to be smokefree. This includes all forms of smoking and vaping. The outdoor area includes all of our property including the decks, pathway entrance and driveway.
  3. Young children in the facilities are to be supervised by parents at all times. The stairs of the lounge have a gate which can be closed if necessary. Parents must be extra careful of their children around the viewing areas as there is a fall risk in both the squash and tennis viewing areas.
  4. The pool is not to be used by children under the age of 14 unless supervised by a responsible adult (over the age of 16). Breaking the pool rules as advertised in the pool area, may result in being asked to leave the pool area immediately.
  5. The gym is only available to members over the age of 16 years. The equipment can be dangerous if used incorrectly. If you are unsure about how to use any of the gym equipment do not use it until you have had training. If you are concerned any equipment is not functioning correctly, please do not use and report it to a staff member or record in the log book at reception.
  6.  All accidents need reporting to a staff member - accident report forms can be found in the bar log book which is located in the bar. If the accident has been caused as a result of a hazard or you feel a hazard could result in an accident within the club, please ensure the issue is raised with the club manager.
  7. There is a defibrillator located to the right of the bar. In an emergency follow the instructions provided.
  8. Fire safety equipment is located at various points around the club . In the event of a fire, please make your way out of the building via the fire exits (located either end of the squash corridor), the front door or via the deck. Follow the instructions of the warden if there is a staff member present.
