From the Club Manager's desk:

November has started as an action month with two Double-Headers of Caro Bowl Tennis, Club Christmas party coming up on November 18 and Squash Master Teams event scheduled from Nov 23 - 25.

As the swimming pool season is knocking the doors, good news is that a compliant door is now operational from the ground floor (opp to front desk). Members may start using the new door for swimming pool access.

Although the All Blacks could not win the Rugby World Cup 2023, the Club Members enjoyed the LIVE BIG SCREEN VIEWING of the Semi Finals & the Finals at the Club Lounge with services from the Bar and the kitchen.

Update on Sports Management System:

Club has shortlisted Hello Club as the only viable alternative to the current Sports Manager which has become obsolete. The Club Management is actively engaged in applying for grants to fund this project. Further updates will be shared next month.

Bar Volunteers:

We are looking for members who would like to serve as regular BAR VOLUNTEERS to help reduce the bar operational costs. Please contact the Club Manager by email or register your name at the Club bar counter. Shifts would be offered subject to your availability.

Working Bee:

Working Bee scheduled for Nov 12 has been postponed by a month and the next date will be announced soon. We will definitely need maximum volunteers to make the Club tidier before Christmas.

A big shoutout to Geeves (Tennis Member) and Fraser (Squash Member) for their special complimentary services for the Club.

Geeves designed a Bar Code for an easier access to Club WiFi without having to feed a password. He further volunteered to offer free consultancy and installation of upgraded hardware to enhance the existing I.T. infrastructure.

Fraser volunteered to arrange complimentary carpet tiles for the first-floor lounge to replace the worn-out section of the existing carpet. He further arranged an installer free of cost to fix the new tiles.

We request other members who can contribute with their expertise or services to come forward and support the Club.

Phil Sim Function

There will be a function at the Club Lounge on Sunday Nov 12th from 3pm to 6:00 pm in Memory of Phil Sim a long time RO member who recently passed away.

Don and Nancy and the family welcome anyone who knew Phil to come along and share a story or two.

The event starts on Friday Nov 24th, 2023.

Business house anyone?! If you think you and some business mates/ friends or family or just you would be interested, please let me know. If before Christmas- it would start 22 November and go for 4 weeks. Doable!!! Let's get a group of people down at the club before the end of the year.

A great social gathering of fun, fab people, food and and a splash of squash. Put together a team or register as an individual and we’ll put you in a team. No points unless players agree before their match. Register online or email squash Admin 😊

Senior Spring interclub- First week completed. Any questions or need any help with interclub info, please ask squash admin.

Players- please pay registration fee $25. Over the bar or via bank transfer to club account with your name - interclub fee as reference.
