Tennis at Royal Oak Racquets
Tennis Court Bookings
We are getting into the busy season and courts in peak times become a little
harder to book.
PLEASE make sure you cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance if you
are not using it.
We will be monitoring it over the next few weeks and whilst we are reluctant
to introduce consequences for those failing to cancel, it may be necessary
if there are regular offenders.

do that, so please put names on the entry form on the noticeboard, or get in touch with Angela if you're interested in signing up.

Alumni Members
As a way of honouring the elite players in our sport that have come through the Royal Oak Racquets Club, we have created an Alumni Membership. There is a strict set of criteria to be met, so it is much like our own ‘Hall of Fame’.
There are4 initial members in this prestigious club and we are pleased to announce the first two recipients are:
- Brett Steven, and
- Willie Laban
These names will be well know to all of the tennis players in Auckland and New Zealand. We congratulate Brett and Willie and look forward to seeing them down at the Club soon.
Phil Sim Memorial
The Club was honoured to host an event for local legend Phil Sim who recently passed away. With over 70 people attending (including our 2 Alumni Members) it was a great day of remembrance, stories and lots of laughter.
Don, Jo, Nancy and all the family were super appreciative of the support and love that was shown. RIP Big Phil.
